I have a great deal of respect for Getup!, but this is one of those things where I think more direct action is needed:

If you have access to a fax machine, I suggest faxing or emailing a protest letter to all three offices. Cost you a buck or two at most. Given the poor understanding the minister seems to have for the technology within his portfolio, I suspect old fashioned paper will have a larger impact. Me, I'm buying a book of stamps and getting onto it.

Paper has a much higher impact. For every 1000 people who think "I'm not happy with this", it's estimated only 1 will actually write, so a letter to a politician tells him/her "Oh dear, this means that at least 1000 people think the same way".

I've already sent a version of this to my local member, but I think I'll amend it to point out that the filtering experiment was flawed and send a letter to a local senator or three, Senator Conroy, the Prime Minister and a couple of others.

And for once, I'm not the odd one out. I'm a mother (so I care about my boys) and a techie (so I know what I'm talking about) and middle-aged (so I'm not one of these young kids that don't know their stuff, but don't call me middle-aged to my face).
